Super Bowl Ham Sammie's

My tv is currently possessed by football. College bowl games, NFL, etc. So I have plenty of time to waste on Pinterest. This recipe is all over the place so I finally decided to try it. Ham, cheese, Hawaiian rolls - what's not to like?!? Holy crap these are SO good!!  It's super easy and I'm making them again soon.  It calls for poppy seeds but I'm leaving those out. I dont think they add anything and I'm totally paranoid that I'll go through an entire evening with one stuck in my teeth!

Here's what you need:

12 Hawaiian rolls, cut in half
12 slices thinly sliced deli ham
12 slices provolone or cheddar cheese (IMO Tillamook is the best!) - cut in half
4 T butter
1 T brown sugar
1 1/2 t Dijon mustard
1 1/2 t Worcestershire sauce

Heat the oven to 350. Line a baking sheet with foil. Put the sandwiches together, 1 slice of ham, 1/2 slice cheese.

In a microwave safe bowl, combine the other ingredients and microwave until the butter is just melted. Give it a good stir and drizzle over the top of the sandwiches. Bake for about 10 minutes or until everything is melted and the butter has caramelized.

Enjoy :)

Sweet & Spicy Mixed Nuts

Sweet with a little heat!!  Yes - a great holiday giftable - but that ship has sailed so let's think college bowl game parties, New Year's Eve & Super Bowl!!

1 cup each pecans, almonds & walnuts. All raw and unsalted
1 egg white
1 T water
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup dark brown sugar (packed)
1 T cinnamon
1 t salt
1/2 t cayenne pepper

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat oven to 300F.
In a bowl whisk together dry ingredients
On a separate bowl, whisk egg white and water until foamy.
Coat the nuts with the egg mixture and then with the dry ingredients

Pour out onto the baking sheet and bake for about 30 minutes, stirring about halfway through. You want it all to be dry and crispy. When it's cooled you can break it apart and store in an airtight container.

Double Chocolate Cookies with Caramel & Sea Salt

Sweet, salt, chocolate - what more could you want?!?

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 Tablespoons milk
  • 1 and 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 16-17 caramel squares, cut in half
  • coarse sea salt

Directions:

Cream the butter on medium speed for about 20 seconds. Add the sugars with the mixer running on medium speed. Cream it all together until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
In a separate medium size bowl, sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt together. Slowly add to the wet ingredients. Stir in the milk, then fold in the dark chocolate morsels. The dough will be thick and very sticky. Chill for at least 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat. Set aside.
Take 2 Tablespoons of chilled dough and split in half and roll each into a ball with your hands. Stick a 1/2 square of caramel into 1 ball of dough. Top the caramel with the other ball of dough and seal down the sides so that the caramel is securely stuffed inside. Repeat with the rest of the dough and 18 caramel candies. Sprinkle each with sea salt before putting into the oven.
Bake for 12-13 minutes. Cookies will appear undone and very soft. Allow to cool on the cookie sheet for at least 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Makes 16-18 large cookies. Cookies stay fresh and soft in an airtight container up to 7 days.

Pear Chutney (on bruschetta with marscapone)

This is one of the yummiest things I have made!!  I gave it out as Christmas gifts this year, even to teachers. Then of course I promptly read a blog about how teachers don't like homemade food gifts because they have no clue as to the cleanliness of the kitchen - well fair enough and hopefully they are at least able to use the jars to store nails in the garage or something!

Here's what you need:

1 baguette
4 large (2 pounds) ripe pears - if they aren't ripe, it's ok, you'll just need to cook it a little longer
1/3 C packed dark brown sugar
1/3 C dark raisins (chopped)
1/3 C cider vinegar
2 t grated & peeled ginger
1/2 t Chinese 5 spice
1/4 t salt
Mascarpone cheese

Slice the baguette and place into preheated 350 degree oven. Toast for about 10 minutes, turning over once.

Peel, core and chop the pears. In a pan add pears, raisins, vinegar, spices and cook over medium heat for 25 to 30 minutes or the liquid evaporates, stirring frequently. At this point, if the pears arent soft add a little more brown sugar and vinegar and cook down some more until pears are soft - unless you like the crunchy, that's ok too.  You can also adjust the spices to your preference. I like a little more ginger.

Cool to room temp. When you want to serve, spread a little mascarpone on a slice of bruschetta and top with a little chutney. If you want to be really fancy, you can add a little parsley on top.

Day 4 - Project 365

Ok - so I just have to say, I saw this in Walmart yesterday and it's all kinds of wrong.  Who wants a glass of wine mixed with cream?!?  I swear, people will buy anything - spend a few buck more and get the right thing or just save your money and don't bother.

Day 3 - Project 365

Ok - so technically, I took this picture a couple days ago - but Monday I really didn't do crap except catch up on re-runs of Supernatual (don't judge) and eat -

Anyhoo - This is where my martini's are currently mixed!  At least until next summer when we move who knows where (we'll save that little tidbit for when the Army actually tells us!)  So, we've been here a little over 5 years and people that know nothing about EP generally think it is a hole.  That was my impression when we first moved here.  I seriously cried and felt sorry for myself for about 6 months!!  THEN I met some way cool people and started having a good time.  Lesson learned - life really is what you make of it and so much depends on the people you meet along the way.  Now, don't get me wrong, there have been a couple psychos and 1 or 2 complete douchebags along the way - but we really love it here and it will be a sad day when the moving truck pulls up and we cross our fingers for all of our crap to show up at the next destination.

But about EP - don't judge a place until you've actually spent a little time there!  Great weather!  Great food (and not just Mexican, although it is fantastic), the people are super nice and the only real issue I have is the lack of driving skills and if we have any kind of "weather" - forget it!  And, despite the fact that it is a stone's throw away from Juarez, Mexico - one of the most dangerous cities I've ever heard of - this place is pretty darn safe - generally the worst thing that happens is drunk driving.  People assume the cartel violence spills over onto our side of the border, but seriously, the cartel is a business, they aren't dumb - we are their best customer and why in the world would they create problems over here that "might" result in it becoming more difficult for them to get their product across.

So - it has been a really great run here in EP - it's coming to an end faster than any of us would like - but if the Army tells us we are coming back some day - woo hoo!!

Day 2 - Project 365

Not much to say on this one - just that I live in the desert - but I saw this and it reminds me of the Rocky Mountains, trees and home :)

Day 1 - Project 365

ok - Day 1, November 2, 2013

It was actually not blazing hot here and a few of the trees are changing color!  yay!!!  I love fall - no more thinking about how pasty white gene my Irish ancestors passed along or how I need to remember to "forget" my bathing suit!  Back into jeans, sweaters and cute boots!!!  I have a seriously unhealthy obsession with riding boots (ordered 2 new pairs Friday) even though I'm never within 2 miles of a horse.

Yay!  for Fall!!

Spiced Pear Martini

This is SO yummy for fall!!!This is what you need:

1 part Pear Vodka (Absolut makes a really good one) - I just started having the for sight to put the vodka in the freezer - if you aren't doing this, you should - it really does make it taste better!

1 part simple syrup

1/2 part lemon juice

1/2 part pear puree

Now for the puree - I buy a small can of pears and drain about half the liquid, then I puree that with about a teaspoon of pureed ginger (that you should be able to find in the produce section of the grocery store, since I can get it at Walmart - and where I live, that's high end grocery shopping)
and a little cinnamon - of course you can adjust the spice however you like it.

Mix all these ingredients together and pour in your martini glass that's rimmed with superfine sugar and cinnamon.

Enjoy!!

Cheddar biscuits a la Red Lobster

Ok - Red Lobster was my very first employer that required me to file taxes.  Ok, not really cause I didn't make shit there, but you know what I mean.  Nowadays - you really couldn't pay me to eat at a Red Lobster, although I'm sure the stuff is pretty good(ish) - the best part about that place is the biscuits!!  Now I just make those at home!

Here you go:

2 C Bisquick
1/2 C cold water
3/4 C grated cheddar
1/2 t Italian dressing
1/4 C butter (melted)
1 t parsley flakes
1/2 t garlic powder

Pre-heat the oven to 450 and spray a muffin pan with Pam or whatever you use.  Mix all the ingredients together - you can add a little more water if necessary.  Drop into muffin pan, sprinkle with a little extra parsley and cheese and bake for 8-10 minutes.  Super easy, super fast and you don't smell like greasy fish when it's over!!

Brazilian Lemonade

Better than a margarita - mostly because Tequila and I aren't really friends!!  It goes back a long, long way.  Vodka is my bestie! I had one (ok, maybe 5) at a Brazilian steakhouses and was then on a mission to make it at home - mostly because we don't have anything Brazilian where I live besides waxing and it's way cheaper to make myself!

Anyway - in a blender throw in 1-1 1/2 parts citrus vodka, 2 parts limeade (don't ask why it's called a Brazilian Lemonade - I have no clue and I don't really care!), squeeze in a tablespoon or so of sweetened condensed milk.  In the pic above it's the La Lechera in a squeeze bottle, you can get it in the Mexican food aisle at the grocery store, or just get the can in the baking aisle.  Add ice and blend.

It's SO yummy, kinda like an Orange Julius for grown ups!!  And if you want to change it up, add Coco Lopez instead of the sweetened condensed milk!  DELICIOUS and really, really great for summer - or whenever!!

Pear Martini

HOLY CRAP!!  this is really good!  I haven't actually made one in a while - but tonight's the night!  If I have canned pears . . . whatever - it's really, really good!!  In the winter I'm going to try to change it up a bit with a little ginger vodka thrown in!!

2 oz vodka (I used Absolut Pears)
2 oz Pear liquer
1 oz lemon juice (lime might be good too)
spoonful of pureed pear

Throw it all in a shaker full of ice and have at it! If it's a little tart, you can add 1/2 oz of simple syrup.

DELICIOUS!!

Thai Pasta

So - my picture doesn't really do this justice - but this is SO good!!  I make it all the time.  You can eat it right away hot, but it's even better cold, which is really great for summer.  It's also super easy!!

Ingredients:
1 Box spaghetti or angel hair pasta
3/4 C sesame oil
1-2 T red pepper flakes (optional)
6 T honey
6 T soy sauce
1/2 C chopped green onions
1/2 C shredded carrots
1/2 C chopped cilantro
3/4 C chopped, unsalted peanuts

In a small pan heat the sesame oil with the red pepper flakes for about 2 minutes.  You can do this longer if you like it spice or leave out the red pepper all together if your family doesn't like the spice (like mine)

Strain out the red pepper flakes and add the oil to the honey and soy sauce.  Whisk that all together.

Cook the pasta according to the directions and drain - add it to the sesame oil mixture, stir then add in the vegetables and peanuts.  It's also good with grilled chicken - but my carnivore husband actually likes it better without the chicken, so there you go!

Enjoy :)

Pop Rocks Martini - rimmed with pop rocks!!

This is SO yummy!!!  And the pop rocks are rimmed around the edge for fun - if you get them too wet though, they don't "pop" - I think I'll try it with cranberry juice too so it's not quite as sweet :)

Shrimp and Avocado Salad with Lime

This is a really yummy, fresh salad just in time for summer!! and super easy!!

1 lb jumbo cooked shrimp, peeled, deveined and chopped
2 Roma tomatoes, diced
2 Avocados, diced
2 jalapenos, diced (remove seeds)
juice of 3 limes
2 t olive oil
handful of chopped cilantro
salt and pepper
1/2 small, red onion, diced

In a small bowl mix together lime juice, olive oil, onion, salt and pepper.

In another bowl and the rest of the ingredients together and pour onion/lime juice mixture over and stir.

It's best if you let it chill for about an hour or so before you serve it.

Enjoy :)

Beer-Candied Bacon

This is one of the BEST things I have EVER made!!  I haven't met a man, woman or child yet that doesn't love these little strips of goodness.  I've made it a couple times with whatever beer we happened to have in the fridge.  Next time I think I'll try a darker beer!  People will LOVE it!!

1 lb thick cut bacon
1/2 C brown sugar
1/4 C + 2 T beer

Heat the oven to 400.  Whisk together the beer and brown sugar.

Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil (this makes cleanup much easier).  Place a wire cooling rack on the sheet.  Lay bacon out on the cooling rack - the pieces will probably overlap, but that's ok.  Cook for 10 minutes in the oven.

Remove from oven and brush the bacon with the beer/sugar mixture.  Flip bacon over and brush the other side.  Put back in oven for another 10 minutes.  Repeat the process until all of the glaze is gone and the bacon is crispy.

Cool and serve

Caesar Pasta Salad

I know it may not be summer yet where you live - but it is here and this is the best pasta salad!!  It's not super heavy on the mayo and has tons of veggies that even my kids eat!  We love it!!

Caesar pasta Salad

12 oz box Tri-Colored Pasta
3/4 C Mayo - NOT Miracle Whip (It's a "bread spread" seriously)
1/2 C Zesty Italian dressing
3 T Shredded Parmesan (I add more though, it's up to you)

3/4 C chopped Bell Pepper (any color is good, I like red)
3/4 C chopped Roma Tomato
3/4 C chopped cucumber
1/2 C chopped green onion

Cook and drain the pasta.  Mix together mayo, Italian dressing and Parmesan cheese.  Once the pasta is cool, pour the mixture over it and stir in veggies.  You can eat it right away, but it's better if it spends a couple hours in the fridge!!

Dr. Dolittle of the Dead

For those of you that have satellite radio and enjoy completely mindless conversation that allows you to laugh at stupids, tune into channel 107 for the Pet Psychic - check your local listings! Sonya Fitzpatrick is a whack-a-do Brit that will answer any and all pressing questions about your dead pet and their feelings.  It is BRILLIANT and absolutely ridiculous all at the same time.  There's never a lack of callers, but they all ask pretty much the same crap:

Cat Lady - "Oh Sonya!  First time caller, long time listener and I just want to know if you can tell me anything about my cat Muffy?"

Psychic Lady - "Oh Darling - Muffy is right here and says that you were the best mum a cat could have!"

Cat Lady - "Really?  That's so wonderful! I always wondered how happy he was with my 15 other cats." (shocker)

Psychic Lady - "Oh, yes, he's laughing and telling me that it was quite the full house but he loved it although he would occasionally get in a romp with the one kitty." - yes, cats laugh

Cat Lady - "Oh, ha ha, yes, he didn't always get along with Buffy.  It's amazing that you know that"

Psychic Lady - "Well, darling, he's telling me all about the great times he had with you!  Tell me, did you ever give him any special treats?"

Cat Lady - "Oh YES!! He really loved them - but I didn't give them to him as much as he wanted"

Psychic Lady - "Yes, he just told me that you were really stingy with the treats - but he wants you to know that he'll be reincarnated really soon and be back at home!  Thanks for calling!"

First of all - hands off to Ms Fitzpatrick - I imagine she's making a pretty decent living off this crap, so good for her! However, what I want to know is why can't these people come up with better questions! I mean if she is really a feline/canine/whatever-ine linguist, let's ask about stuff we all want to know!

What is really with all the ass licking and eating your own shit?  Explain the payoff.
Is a tampon applicator really worth digging through the trash?
Why can't you just be polite and leave the room when your owners are having sex?
Why is it so hard to distinguish the TV doorbell from ours?

Anyway - apparently she has a couple shows on Animal Planet too, but I haven't had a chance to check those out - I have Real Housewives to keep up with.

Pork Wonton Cups

These are one of the best little appetizers to make for a party!  Everyone LOVES them which is great except then there's no left-overs :)  My friend was nice enough to share the recipe and said I could put it on here!  It's not hard at all and you won't be disappointed!!

Here's your ingredients:

Mix:
1 lb of ground pork (not the Jimmy Dean roll type - the hamburger packaged type)
1 T garlic - chopped
1/4 cup green onion - diced
1/2 t ginger - ground
2 T sesame oil
dash of salt and pepper
Cook on the stove top....

Then you need wonton wrappers and Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce.

Preheat your oven to 350.  Spray a mini muffin pan with PAM.  Trim down the wonton wrappers to circles and press them into the muffin pan.  Spray them with a little more PAM and bake - for about 8 minutes, but once they start to brown you need to keep an eye on them because they will burn fast.

Once they are done, spoon in the pork filling and top with a little bit of the sweet chili sauce.

SO yummy - even my super picky kids love them!

Enjoy :)

I Need Tim Gunn to Be My Gay Boyfriend

I was having lunch with a friend the other day and we ran down the finale of the latest season of Project Runway - next to Top Chef - my favorite reality show!! We were both happy about the person that won and then talked about just how much we love Tim Gunn and wouldn't it be great if he could just join us for lunch one time!  Then it occurred to me what I actually wore out of the house that day and how distressing it would be for him to be seen in public with a schlub like me - oh yes, that's a real word and I was told that a few weeks ago :/  This was my outfit du jour:  some half-way decent shirt that I wouldn't wear last summer (yes, it's pretty much summer here already) because I was too fat - this year though, I'm lighter by like a pound which has clearly made all the difference in the world and the shirt is totally acceptable - or my personal standards are just going to shit.  Jean shorts with the frayed hem that is really cool if you are not over the age of 40 (I'm in denial) and Nike flip flops.  At least I recently had a decent hair cut, chopped off 5 inches of dead weight and had a super great new lip gloss and I felt pretty damn good when I left the house.

Here's the thing - I HATE shopping for clothes - it is one of the most annoying things EVER - shoes too.  I love a good boot, but in general I don't give a crap about shoes - I don't enjoy them and I really hate spending money on them.  Give me some good flip flops and I'm happy.  I'll even maintain a decent pedicure - ok, not really, but just don't look at me below the shins and we're good.  I have yet to find a clothing store that sells grown up outfits that don't make me feel like an idiot and/or don't cost a fortune.  OH - and have I mentioned I do not enjoy any kind of pattern - seriously, I have issues.  I like them on other people, but there are very few things in the closet that are not a solid color.  Shopping with me is a joy.  But, maybe, just maybe if he came out for 1 day - we could have a nice lunch, knock back some martinis, he could convince me that Nina isn't nearly as annoying as she is on the show and how truly super cute and fun Zac Posen is - wait! Maybe he could be my boyfriend! - then he'd take me shopping and revamp my whole life - I mean wardrobe.  Oh well, the odds of all this is about the same as Lindsey Lohan finally getting her shit together, but a girl can dream!

I'm Blowin' the Lid off the Tooth Fairy! or not

A couple nights ago, the youngest announced just before bed time that her loose tooth was about to come out!  Since it was nearly bedtime and I NEVER  have cash - this was awesome news!  THEN she casually mentioned in passing that she wasn't going to tell anyone when the tooth came out so she could see if the Tooth Fairy was real!

Well now, this is just the perfect storm of crap!  Not only do I have not cash for tonight's impending Fairy visit - but she may or may not really tell me if it happens.  Awesome - one more chance to not be parent of the year!

So, the tooth falls out - and in my awesome parentness - I don't put the cash under the pillow until nearly wake-up time.  Of course this is the ONLY school day ever that Methuselah is actually awake before me - but whatever - I'm totally sneaky.  I come in and as she tells me  the tooth fairy FAILED - I slide the cash under the pillow and snag the tooth.  Disaster avoided!!! - until that night when she asks me if I'm the Tooth Fairy. Fine - I'll suck it up and be the dream crushing parent - let's play! - Yes, I say, I'm the Tooth Fairy.  She starts laughing and says, you are not the tooth fairy - you have no glitter.  WTF?!?!  Clearly, she has not noticed the super sparkly lip gloss I'm sporting today (FAIL) What follows is a really painful 20 minute conversation about how I've been Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, et al for years!  She gets all belligerent and crap trying to make me feel bad - btw, I don't do guilt - life is what it is, some games are involved, suck it up, buttercup! THEN - after all this the nearly 10 year old tells me she hasn't believed in any of that since she was 6!  WTF?!?!?  Are you kidding?!?!? She thinks this is all really funny.  Yeah, hysterical - is it happy hour yet?!?

If You Aren't a Human Pretzel, Please Don't Teach My Yoga Class (Rap Is Not Zen)

Last fall, I started going to hot yoga a few times a month - I'd like to say once a week, but who are we kidding.  I am the least athletically inclined person I know and my coordination sucks, so this was really going out on a limb for me - and the "hot" is no joke, at least 8,000 degrees.  It turns out, I don't totally suck at it and I LOVE it!  I never knew it was possible for my eyeballs to sweat and that some real exertion wouldn't really kill me - serious personal growth!  Anyway, I pretty much always go to the same class but a few weeks ago I decided, since Captain America was home from work and could do the after school sports schlepping, I would go to a Monday night class.  Since I never bothered to research anything yoga-centric, imagine my surprise when I found out there are different types of yoga classes - the ones I like and the ones that I would prefer to pull my fingernails out with a dull tweezers than attend.  This was the dull tweezer class.

First off - the people going to this class were super chummy and chatty - SHUT UP!  I'm not here to make friends, just sweat my ass off and go home.  I don't care how long it took you to get here and I definitely don't want to debate the pros and cons of indoor vs outdoor volleyball - WTF?!

Secondly - I will never claim to be super fit or whatever - but in my opinion, if I'm paying for a class, I want the instructor to look like they actually know what they are doing and look like they should be on the cover of Yoga Monthly - do NOT be in worse shape than me - and stop being so chatty and joking around - it's enough for me to block out the voices in my head, I shouldn't have to block out yours too.

Finally - the MUSIC and Pace of this class was ridiculous - it was freaking sweat box aerobics, no poses to hold, just a lot of sit ups and crunches (certainly for the benefit of the instructor).  And what started off with the go to yoga music: indian flute and chirping birds - quickly changed to a little country, a little 90's, some One Direction and then RAP!  Holy shit!  RAP?!?!  I'm not clubbing for crying out loud, I'm just trying to do the downward dog without falling over.  I want freaking Yanni and Ottmar Liebert (yes, they are on my iPod - don't judge).  By the time this class was over I was stressed out like a research monkey and the usual frozen wash cloth prize at the end that I so look forward too was just one more thing preventing me from getting the hell out of there.

Namaste my ass, Miss Instructor - you can take your fusion and shove it.

I'll never cheat on Hatha again!

My Processed Food is Better Than Yours!

Let me start off by saying that I truly have amazing in-laws!  They are really great people and I love them dearly.  My mother-in-law (we'll call her MILlie) and I have hit a bit of a rough patch lately because at Christmas she was convinced I was trying to physically hurt her as I drove through the mall parking lot - serious over-reaction to my holiday driving skillz and I apologized profusely, but she is still slightly twisted about it.  Anyway, a few weeks ago we were back visiting them and after dinner one night she comes out of the kitchen with a box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese (Deluxe even, not  the crap with the powdered NASA cheese) and asks me "Do you still make all that processed food?  Because if you do, you can just have this.  I don't use it anymore, I make it from scratch."  After the mental stun gun blast wore off, I said, "oh sure, I'll take it!" But on the inside, I was like, really?  wtf millie?!? and spent about 10 minutes texting my husband (sitting 2 feet away) venting about what just happened.  Just when I think the weird "Apparently we are in a competition that I didn't know I entered" phase was over - BAM!! She slaps me upside the head it!  So, now it's in my pantry and I'll be sure to make it as a side dish for dinner next time they come to visit!  And the best part of all?  I'm pretty sure she is making her "homemade" "from scratch" mac & cheese using one of the 4 bricks of VELVEETA she has in her pantry - uh, yeah!  That's all for now - the oven just went off, pizza rolls are ready!!

Cucumber Martini

Woohoo!!  It's one of my new favorites and it's super easy!!

Put ice in a cocktail shaker and add:
1.5oz Cucumber Vodka (Effen is the best and the best name!)
1.5oz Sweet & Sour
.5oz Sprite
dash of lime

Mix it all together and strain into a martini glass - that's it!  If you like a little kick, rim the glass with chili salt rimmer that you can find with the bloody mary mix!!

So - here we go!  This is my little foray into the blogosphere and we'll see how it goes.  I don't really have an agenda, cause or reason to do this except for my own entertainment and honestly, there's a lot of crap in my head that I need to get out in order to make room for new crap!  A little bit about me, in a nutshell - I'm married, two girls and my husband works for the government (ooohhhh exciting!).  That's about as specific as I'll get on that front!  I have a great family, great friends and I like to have a good time!  Life doesn't have to suck and don't be a hater cause it just makes you look like an ass!!  In case you haven't figured it out, I enjoy a good cocktail and I'll post recipes on here when I have a good one!  Which will also cause me to try to take better pictures so when I do post - it'll look like something you might want to try :)
